1955-1975: Vietnam War

The Vietnam War was a Cold War military conflict fought out in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955 until shortly after the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. One member of our families, serving in the US armed forces, lost their life in the conflict.

Lohmeyer, Douglas Edward, *10.08.1949, Corporal, +17.05.1969 in South Vietnam.  His body was recovered and repatriated.
