Herr Lohmeyer aus Philadelphia wurde von seiner Frau betrogen, die ein Findelkind als Ihr eigenes ausgab. Nachdem Lohmeyer es erst annahm wurde er aber dann durch das ständige Aufsehen und die Presse dazu bewogen das Findelkind wieder abzugeben. (1882)
